Ron joined The Fly in 1998 and became President in 2002. He is responsible for leading the company's strategic direction and managing the flow of information that drives breaking news alerts. Ron earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Relations from Tulane University and has a MBA from NYU Stern School of Business.

Brendan has been the CTO of The Fly since 1996. He's also the President and Founder of The Working World, an NGO pioneering microfinance through low interest, zerodebt, zerocollateral loans to cooperative enterprises.

Jay is Chief Content Officer at The Fly, leading the breaking news coverage and editorial content while also managing the day-to-day product operations. Jay oversees a team that includes writers, journalists, editors, customer service and marketing personnel to research, develop and produce news summaries daily. He earned an Economics degree from Rutgers University.

As Managing Editor, Jason monitors numerous sources for breaking news and assigns, writes and edits short-form alerts for The Fly's breaking news feed. Jason also identifies developing news that warrants additional reporting and heads up the creation of longer-form stories on market movers. Jason earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Rutgers University.

Eric is a Senior Editor at The Fly, helping to head up the longer-form editorial content while leading the evening breaking news team. He has worked at the company since 2005. He has also been published in multiple literary journals. Eric has a master's degree in English from the City University of New York-Queens College.

Laurie Pasternick Chan is a Senior Editor at The Fly, coordinating news wire coverage in addition to editing many of the site's news stories. She joined The Fly as a staff writer in November 2006. Laure has a bachelor's degree in English from Binghamton University.

The Fly Editors And Writers

Peter Bonventre is a Staff Writer at The Fly, specializing in sector movement and stock news. Prior to joining the Fly in 2007, he was a Nasdaq market maker for a Wall Street wholesaler. Peter has a Master of Arts degree in Education from the City University of New York-Queens College and studied for his undergraduate degree at Georgetown University and NYU.

Kelly Carroll is a Senior Writer at The Fly, covering breaking news and analyzing its impact in longer-form editorial content. Kelly joined in 2017 and has a Bachelor's in Journalism from Seton Hall University.

Gary is a Staff Editor on The Fly's breaking news team, also serving as Team Leader in the coverage of Street Research content during the evening session. He joined the company in 2017 and has also worked as an analyst, a liquidity manager, and as a Commodity Trading Advisor. He holds a Bachelor degree in Political Science from Rutgers University and an MBA from Zicklin School of Business.

Jessica de Sa-Mota is a Staff Editor at The Fly, focusing on longer-form stories on market movers, coverage of Street Research content, weekend news coverage, and serving as contact person for any inquiries or responses to articles written by our team. She joined The Fly as a Staff Writer in February 2016 and holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and communications science from the University of Porto.

Dana is a Staff Writer on The Fly's breaking news team who joined The Fly in 2007. Dana, formerly an independent securities trader, has a Bachelors degree in English from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst and an MBA from the University of California - Irvine.

Sam Martinelli is a Staff Editor at The Fly, covering breaking news as well as writing long-form stories recounting and explaining stock movements, including a weekly roundup of news in the video game sector. He joined The Fly as a staff writer in June 2015 and has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Classical Studies from Boston University.

Andrew Perez is a Staff Writer at The Fly specializing in pre-market open and post-market close news coverage. Andrew joined The Fly in July of 2017 and holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from West Virginia University.
